Their story
Mary Agnes Moore was an Irish-born American silent-film actress who volunteered with the American Red Cross in France during World War I. She died of influenza/pneumonia on February 3, 1919 at the American convalescent hospital at Savenay (near St. Nazaire/Tours), France. After temporary burial at Tours, her remains were reinterred in 1922 at Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, where she remains buried rather than being repatriated to the United States.
