Their story
Near Medjez el Bab, Tunisia, on 28 April 1943, when his unit was pinned down by enemy machine-gun and rifle fire, Private Minue voluntarily and alone charged the entrenched enemy position with fixed bayonet, killing approximately 10 enemy machine gunners and riflemen. He continued the single-handed assault, routing additional enemy from their dugouts, until he was mortally wounded. He received the Medal of Honor posthumously.
